DIY installations are easier when you have the right tools. At a minimum you will need:

  • Chalk line
  • Hammer drill
  • Allen Keys and Screwdrivers
  • Timber blocks or supports

You may also consider correct handling gloves to help you move the glass around.

Yes it does. According to Australian Standards, pool gates must open outwards, away from your pool. They also must be fitted with a self-closing latch.

Frameless fencing refers to glass panels that are fitted without any frames around them. They make for a very sleek and minimalist look. Read more about frameless glass pool fencing and glass balustrade.

Semi-frameless are our partially-framed glass panels. The smart looking stainless steel frames sit between the glass panels, but don’t run over the top or at the bottom of each panel, which is why they are considered only semi-framed. Read more about semi frameless glass pool fencing.

While both of these fence types are designed to be free standing with the assistance of supporting poles dug into the ground, pin fixed fences are designed to be fixed to existing construction. Using specialised pins called “standoffs”, you can attach the panels to a wall or over a ledge. Read more about pin fixed glass pool fencing and pin fixed glass balustrades.

Products

All our hardware is manufactured from high quality stainless steel. Before going in to stock we randomly test the material quality of all spigots and hardware. This ensure they are consistently rust-resistant and compliant to quality standards through every single batch.

The best time to clean your fence is in the morning or late afternoon. Hose the glass down with clean water. Use a sponge or soft brush / broom to apply a gentle soap, like washing up liquid and water. Remove the soap suds by hosing it down with good clean water and leave to air dry. Avoid glass cleaners as they leave a residue on your glass fence. If your glass has been treated with Enduroshield please refer to care instructions provided in your after installation care pack.

Yes we can. You can elect to either provide drawings and specifications of your required panel/s or talk to our in-house designer who will be able to assist you with custom designed panels.

All of the pool fencing panels and hardware we sell fit well within the national regulations. This includes providing panels that are made of durable, sturdy material, and ensuring their height reaches the minimum 1200mm requirement.

Trade Glass Depot has a strict quality testing process that all of our glass and hardware goes through before it is certified and added to our product range. All tests are carried out by a qualified third party company, and test aspects such as the impact that a heavy load and strong wind force can have.

Every product you buy from us has not only passed, but exceeded Australian Standards, and is quality stamped for extra assurance. Visit our quality testing process page to find out more!

We have more than 100 glass panel sizes to choose from, which are between 100mm to 1800mm in length. All glass panels meet the height minimum requirement of 1200mm as stipulated by Australian law.
